Prepare Your Medication
- Wash your hands thoroughly with clinical-grade soap and warm water.
- Gather your Supplies; Medication vial, insulin syringe, alcohol pads, and sharps container.
- Inspect the medication vial for clarity and confirm the expiration date.
- Clean the rubber stopper of the vial with a fresh alcohol pad.
- Draw the precise prescribed dose into a sterile syringe.
- Remove any air bubbles carefully

Clean the Injection Site
- Select a healthy site: the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
- Avoid areas that are bruised, scarred or irritated.
- Sanitize the skin area with a new alcohol wipe and allow it to dry completely.
- Pinch the skin gently and insert the needle at a perpendicular 90-degree angle.
- Slowly inject the medication, withdraw the needle, and apply gentle pressure.

Dispose Safely
- Never recap, bend, or break a used needle after administration.
- Immediately place all sharps in a puncture-resistant disposal container.
- Store all medical waste containers securely away from children and pets.
- Follow local regulations for the final disposal of full medical sharps containers.
